Priyanka Chopra’s Legs and Other World Issues

Terror, refugee crisis, hunger, environmental chaos: The world is going to the dogs and yet Twitter is all a-twitter over – Priyanka’s legs! Should she have met the Indian prime minister Modi with her legs fully exposed? Should she have perhaps worn trousers or a saree or a Punjabi suit to camouflage the truth – that she has legs?  Somehow, the trolls on social media just cannot accept this fact of human anatomy!

As BBC reported – Priyanka Chopra attacked for ‘showing legs’ to India PM Modi

The controversy began after Chopra, who stars in the new Baywatch film and in the US television series Quantico, posted a picture with Mr Modi, thanking him “for taking the time from his packed schedule” to meet her in Berlin.

It didn’t take long though, before the “disrespectful” dress became the topic of conversation, with many commenting on how it “insulted” Mr Modi and his “pious followers.”

Social media totally got into action, jumping in on both sides of the leggy issue.

She had plenty of supporters too who do live in the modern world and not in some dark, closeted mind set:

Priyanka’s simple response? This picture with her mom. More legs – everyone has them!

Legs for days…. #itsthegenes with @madhuchopra nights out in #Berlin #beingbaywatch

How does it make a difference if she shows a bit of legs? After all, she is an International celebrity representing India. Mera Bharat Mahaan!
