Scholarships to Study in India
Always wanted to study in India? Well, you can and maybe save some money too! Now the Indian Government has scholarships to help you do just that. The Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs has announced a Scholarship Program for Diaspora Children (SPDC) for 2012-13.
100 scholarships for undergraduate courses in several disciplines; Engineering and Technology/Architecture, Humanities/Liberal Arts, Commerce, Management including Hotel Management, Journalism, Science, and Law.
The program is for ‘persons of Indian origin’ (PIO) and Non Resident Indians (NRIs). The scholarship covers 75 percent of the Institutional Economic Cost (IEC) which includes Tuition and Hostel fees and other institutional charges or up to US $ 4,000 (US dollars Four thousand) per annum, whichever is less.
