What better way to seek blessings for family and friends and for our troubled world than to start the new year with the One who creates it all? At the Satya Narayan Temple in Queens, on the first day of 2025, there was a Sindhi celebration to welcome the New Year – a hawan or fire offering to honor the Sindhi Lord of the Sea, Jhoole Lal; dancing and drumming to the beloved Sindhi Sufi anthem of Dama Dam Mast Kalandar, and of course a Sindhi feast with Sindhi Kadhi, spinach paneer and puris, mitha chawal and ras malai.

Now let’s take on 2025! Wishing you all health, happiness and all that you desire in this new year.
