Invoking the Goddess Lakshmi for wealth aid

India has a secret weapon in its continuing ride to success and wealth – the Goddess Lakshmi! All the billions of prayers offered to this deity of prosperity in business offices across the world must be paying off for all those successful entrepreneurs.

Now even all the wanna-be-wealthy folks in far off Mexico are realizing the value of having the Goddess of Wealth on their side. The National Lottery in Mexico had the image of the Indian  Goddess on some of the lottery tickets – and the grand prize went to – you’ve guessed it!

‘Goddess Lakshmi Adorns Winning Lottery Ticket’ was the heading of a story carried by HPI ( Hindu Press International)

The details: “Hindu Gods adorn a new series of lottery tickets in Mexico. Not surprisingly, the top prize went to a ticket featuring Lakshmi, Goddess of Wealth. The National Lottery jackpot awarded a $4 million pesos (US$ 330,000) prize for ticket number 5825, whose notes were illustrated with the figure of Goddess Lakshmi during a recent drawing. The Goddess of Beauty and good luck, also brought fortune to tickets holders in Puebla, Puebla and Coatzacoalcos, and Veracruz.”

Does the Goddess approve of lotteries? One doesn’t really know – but people do love to gamble and play cards at Diwali. In a game of chance, it can’t hurt to have the Goddess on your side!
Well, if you want to try and pick up a cool $ 4 million pesos in the future, here are the details.

Well, looks like the Mexican lottery folks weren’t aware of this! Next year maybe they’ll add Sri Ganesha to the lineup

I thought Ganesha was worshiped along with Lakshmi–believe that Ganesha has the added benefit of blessing under the table (beelack money, if you will) earnings too! You know the kind that is part and parcel of the Indian “business” narrative!
