2021 has been quite a year – and it’s not done yet! Here we share dramatic images which overwhelmed us when we first saw them – and which continue to surprise us. The world will never be the same again as volatile happenings continue to remake it. Escaping the Taliban.
As Defense One reported: “A U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster III safely evacuated some 640 Afghans from Kabul late Sunday, according to U.S. defense officials and photos obtained by Defense One.
That’s believed to be among the most people ever flown in the C-17, a massive military cargo plane that has been operated by the U.S. and its allies for nearly three decades. Flight tracking software shows the plane belongs to the 436th Air Wing, based at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware.”
One thinks of these struggling, brave Afghans and their future in a new year and a new world. How are they coping and how will the lives of their children pan out in America? They join the crush of humanity looking to change destiny and make new lives for themselves and one wishes them the best in 2022.
