    When the Prince Came A-Visiting

[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he historic townhouse where First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt once lived has stood tall on Park Avenue and has seen many a famous guest walk through its gilded rooms. Now owned by Meera Gandhi, the CEO of Giving Back Foundation, the house recently saw some history repeated. British royals had once visited the country home of the Roosevelts in Long Island, and now Prince Edward, the Earl of Wessex, visited this former Roosevelt home for a reception hosted by Meera Gandhi.

[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he Prince, who is the third son of Queen Elizabeth 11 and Prince Philip, Duke Of Edinburgh, is the tenth in line to the British throne. He was in the US promoting the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme. He played all 10 US tennis courts, promoting the original game of British tennis. He also runs the Wessex Youth Trust, which supports charities which provide opportunities specifically for children, and that was a common interest shared with Meera Gandhi, whose organization looks after the welfare of children in several countries.

To know Meera Gandhi is to know an endless number of diverse colorful people – and the guest list included actress Marla Maples ( the ex-wife of  president Donald J. Trump), Jill Zarfin (Actress from ‘Housewives of New York’ ) & Gary Brody,  Peter Brown (the former manager of the Beatles ) and Supermodel Tim Gurin. and Meera’s daughter Kiran Gandhi aka Madame Gandhi.

More in the Little Black Book soon!
