    May 9, 2018 – An Event for Women by Women!

    [dropcap]Y[/dropcap]es, it’s that time of the year again when you cast aside your coats, boots and winter blues and celebrate beautiful Spring with your friends at the event of the season –  The Children’s Hope Spring Luncheon! Over 300 women are expected at the Carltun in Long Island for cocktails, lunch, a rocking shopping spree and plenty of networking to help raise funds for the girl child’s education and well-being.

    [dropcap]T[/dropcap]his year CHI is honoring Divya Gugnani, Co-founder and CEO of Wander Beauty and Founding Partner of Concept to Co,  as the Woman of Distinction. This award is given to a woman who has balanced the challenges of the workplace, home and social responsibility. Divya is a serial entrepreneur who has co-founded multiple companies and launched her own investment fund. She has also contributed to online outlets and print magazines and authored the book ‘Sexy Women Eat: Secrets to Eating What You Want and Still Looking Fabulous’, all while raising a family.

    [dropcap]T[/dropcap]he luncheon features guest speakers Raakhee Mirchandani and Karuna Chani, who will speak on the #MeToo movement. Raakhee is a writer, editor and pediatric cancer crusader. Her work has appeared in Elle, Glamour, Cosmopolitan, Wall Street Journal, New York Daily News, New York Post and other publications. Karuna is an internationally recognized makeup artist with thousands of followers that include Priyanka Chopra and Kanika Kapoor. Dedicated to the women’s empowerment mission and the #MeToo South Asian movement, Karuna utilizes her growing platform to advocate against violence and sexual abuse to women.

    The luncheon, which is organized by the benefit committee comprising of Aarti Kamat, Babita Advani,  Madhulika Shroff, Milan Devjani and Moneesha Sani, is coordinated by Jharna Jaisinghani of Artistic Affairs.
