Bring Spice Into Your Christmas Holiday Season

Have sudden guests coming over during the holiday season – you’re loaded with booze but what do you serve them? The desserts and chocolates come later but first you need something spicy and tangy, filling but not deep fried. Something which can be whipped up quickly with ingredients you already have at home – onions, potatoes and some puff pastry – always there in most Indian homes along with the masala box and the mint!

So it’s Patel Brothers to the rescue with this hasty tasty recipe for Bombay Masala Puffs. Actually one could make a meal of the delicious potato sabzi which goes into these puffs but baked and ready, with a drizzle of mint chutney and sev they look so elegant – just ready to be devoured with a glass of festive wine or vodka. They also have a little western touch – grated cheese – giving them a distinctly Indian-American flavor.

    Bon Appetit!
