Asia Comes to the MetMuseum for Asia Week 2023

It was the most social evening of Asia Week – the annual reception at the iconic Metropolitan Museum of Art where art lovers from around the world had gathered to celebrate the best of Asian art.

Andrea Bayer, Deputy Director for Collections and Administration, Dessa Goddard, the chairman of Asia Week New York, and Maxwell D. Hearn, the Douglas Dillon Chairman of the Department of Asian Art, welcomed the crowd of over 600 international collectors, curators, gallery owners, and scholars who were in New York drawn by the auctions, exhibitions and world class museum shows. It was a time to peruse great art, meet friends and new acquaintances and a chance to dress in your Asian best. The evening did not disappoint!
