An Evening with Indian Genius: Deepak Chopra, Chandrika Tandon and Fareed Zakaria
In New York anything is possible, and you may find yourself rubbing shoulders with the likes of Deepak Chopra, Chandrika Tandon and Fareed Zakaria and some very stimulating and high-powered guests at a private book party hosted by Carol and Timothy Geithner. The celebration was for the launch of Meenakshi Ahamed’s thought-provoking book ‘Indian Genius: The Meteoric Rise of Indians in America’. At this sparkling event, she had a conversation with Andrea Elliot, Pulitzer award-winning NYT journalist and author of ‘The Invisible Child’.

Meenakshi Ahamed is a noted journalist and author of ‘A Matter of Trust: India-US Relations from Truman to Trump’, published last year. In her new book, she turns to the Indian-American shining lights from Satya Nadella of Microsoft to Dr. Atul Gawande to Congressman Ro Khanna and explores the concept of ‘Indian Genius.’ It is an engrossing read, taking you on the personal journeys of triumph and tribulations of sixteen star achievers and getting them to share the secrets of their success.
Based on the book, I interviewed Meenakshi Ahamed on the intriguing question of what is Indian Genius and does it exist. That is the basis of my cover story for the May issue of Khabar, an award-winning community magazine published in Atlanta. Check out this story in the May edition of Khabar – https://www.khabar.com/
Also watch for it on Lassi with Lavina as well as in my LinkedIn newsletter.
Meanwhile enjoy these images of a lively New York evening with some dynamic guests on the Upper East Side.
