As if there aren’t enough big breaking news stories or international crises to report  – Elizabeth Hurley wears a sari and discards the blouse – and Huffington Post reveals all! Great investigative reporting!

It’s strange how someone can live in a country – and still not really understand it or appreciate its culture fully. Elizabeth Hurley lives in India, is married to an Indian and yet you have her parading at a big gala in London in a sari – without a blouse or under-garments. Check out Huffington Post and you see her new tacky look

The sari is such a sexy garment that when draped well and worn with a wispy little blouse it can be a knockout. Think Aishwariya Rai or Rani Mukherjee – there’s a beautiful subtlety  and grace to those sculpted looks.  Elizabeth Hurley, it seems,  has taken a step back and gone the Khajuraho way. It’s over-kill. In India it would be a big no-no.

Well, it certainly got the Huffington Post a lot of peepers and over 308 comments.  Most of the comments are pretty funny and deal with body parts but as one person astutely wrote: “Career slacking? Not getting your name and face in the gossip mags? Just break out your sheerest piece of clothing and go where the paparazzi are. Not that I’m complaining.”

Through it all hubby Arun Nayar seems quite smiley and comfortable, even proud, as if it’s the most normal thing for his wife to be in a see-through  sari and oh, by the way, just forget the blouse.  Let’s hope she doesn’t forget the sari next time!
