Remembering President Obama on his birthday!

This piece was written last year but here it is again to make you smile and think of happy days!

Barack Obama & the Littlest Citizens

They don’t have any voting rights. They can’t write checks. They don’t run the world – in fact, some of them can’t even walk yet. They don’t have much of a say in world affairs but they can certainly create a ruckus in their own private language.

These are the littlest citizens and they seem to have a real hold on President Obama, and he on them. Look at these charming images clicked by Peter Souza, the Chief Official White House photographer and you’re bound to smile. No matter what’s happening in China or Iran, Obama certainly finds a few moments to spend with the kids – comforting them in times of sorrow and goofing off with them in times of joy. Yes, even a selfie with the president is not impossible, as two young boys discover.

The most powerful man in the world and Commander-in-chief of a mighty nation can baby-talk, snuggle and hug and cuddle and exchange high-fives with the best of them.

This was a photo blog which was fun to put together and I hope will be fun for you all to browse!

    Alert – Cuteness Overload!

    All the President’s Kids…

Hi Kokila, yes I agree – there is so much warmth in these images! They were embedded among scores of other pictures but it was the genuine caring and humor in these images which really attracted me to make a feature about the Prez and the Kids.
