Vegan Night Market, Wollman’s Rink, Central Park

[dropcap]W[/dropcap]ho would have thought that one day we’d be standing in long lines in Central Park to gorge on spicy Delhi style pani puri, jalebis and mango lassi? It was all part of the Vegan Night Market that’s being held every Tuesday in New York’s most famous park. The timing is from 4 pm to 10 pm so you can walk, jog, play pickleball, boat – and then feast!

This popular event has concession stands of vegan food from everywhere – Mexico, Italy, Middle East, India and the Caribbean too. Yes, there was plenty of beef, chicken and sausage but totally harmless and vegetarian of course. It was a wonderful breezy fall day after days and days of unending rain and people were out with their families and friends to enjoy the veggie cuisine.

What can be better than eating outdoors, under the stars on tables set up on the grass? And with the glittering skyscrapers of Manhattan as the backdrop!

The Vegan Night Market is on every Tuesday till October 10, so put it on your calendar. https://www.centralpark.com/ events/vegan-night-market-at-wollman-rink/
