EVENTS: Meera Gandhi’s Scent of Giving

[dropcap]M[/dropcap]eera Gandhi likes to do good – and always manages to have fun doing it.  Whether it’s a CD, a documentary or a coffee table book, she creates it and all funds go to the non-profit Giving Back Foundation which she founded in 2010 to help women and children. She also hosts the Meera Gandhi Show on B4U TV about living life to the fullest.

In the past,  funds raised by GBF have gone to St. Michael’s School for Girls in New Delhi, India with a 5-year commitment to providing  complete, nutritious food for all the students. GBF has also supported four young girls in attending The Eleanor Roosevelt Leadership Center in Hyde Park, NY.

The foundation also supports the Arts with a 5-year commitment to the Woodstock Film Festival in New York State, honoring noted humanitarians in the film industry, including actors, directors or producers

[dropcap]R[/dropcap]ecently Meera was in Mumbai where she herself received the humanitarian award from Magna Publications at the Oberoi at a star-spangled gala which included Bollywood stars Rekha, Zeenat Aman and Hema Malini. At a private ceremony she also launched her new initiative, the Giving Fragrance.  This took several months to create with a fragrance team in France. The fragrance is an enriching combination of Sicilian Bergamot, Egyptian Jasmin Absolute, Heliotrope (French Sunflower), Myrrh Oil from Namibia, South American Tonka Beans, Sandalwood Mysore, and Vanilla Bourbon. Encased in a beautiful bottle, the power of Giving sure smells sweet!
